Each and every element of a project and its successful integration is key to successful project delivery. A quality structural engineering design of a project is an obvious prerequisite. Another key element that is often overlooked or under-resourced is building services engineering.

HBP’s design teams take care to ensure that a balanced design is produced that pays careful consideration to not just capital cost but the overall life cycle of the Building across all engineering design disciplines.

Buildings account for over 30% of all carbon emissions. As a byproduct of good engineering design that is the culmination of; the integration of all design disciplines, sound environmental principals, careful consideration of the selection of systems and refinement of these systems, HBP’s engineers also play a significant role in the protection of the environment.

Structural & Civil

Our innovative design teams, consisting of resident expatriate and local engineers, have a wealth of experience in the Vietnamese construction industry. Our designs are developed using current international practices and advanced structure analysis tools such as: Etabs, Safe, Structural Toolkit. We have a proven track record over many years in Vietnam, in delivering quality and cost effective designs and the ability to meet any challenge across all sectors of the building industry. All design work carried out by HBP is covered by our Asia wide professional indemnity insurance policy.

Mechanical

The main component of Mechanical Services design is HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning). HVAC is the technology of indoor environmental comfort, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. HVAC design is central to the creation of economical, safe and healthy building conditions. With this idea as the basis of design and recognizing the complex interrelationship between capital and operational cost, HBP’s engineers strive to achieve the optimum return on investment through balancing:

  • Capital Expenditure
  • Operating Costs
  • and Maintenance Requirements

Fire Protection

Fire protection is the mitigation of the effects of potentially harmful and destructive fires through consideration of behavioural patterns, compartmentalization and suppression.

Fire Protection is of utmost importance to the designers at HBP. As such HBP does not deviate from relevant Local and International Standards and Codes. HBP will not compromise the integrity of a design to save cost. HBP provides fire protection design in the following areas:

Hydraulic

Hydraulics is concerned with the flow and conveyance of fluids, principally water, and sewage. One feature of hydraulic systems is the extensive use of gravity as the motivating force in the movement of the fluids.

Hydraulic engineering is the application of fluid mechanics principles to problems dealing with the collection, storage, control, transport, regulation, measurement, and use of fluids. HBP’s engineers develop conceptual designs through to detailed design for each of the sub systems listed below:

BIM

BIM covers a vast number of things that do not apply to every project. In the event that the client consider committing to this way of working, HBP will guide the client through the process of making such decision. While making the client aware of what BIM really is and how it should relate to their project, HBP will advise the level of detail, the workflow, the duties of every party that are required to achieve an efficient BIM model to suits the client’s needs.
